Tsukishima and Yamaguchi – The Best Part of Haikyuu!!

March 21, 2022March 18, 2022 Michaela

Sports anime is still a relatively new genre to me. I’ve seen a couple over the years (Ping Pong The Animation and Yuri!!! On Ice), but they aren’t exactly mainstream sports. Despite that, I enjoyed these shows for their realism … Continue reading Tsukishima and Yamaguchi – The Best Part of Haikyuu!!

MLB The Show 19: Mini-Review

May 29, 2019October 31, 2019 Chris

It’s been a while since we checked in with Playstation’s flagship baseball franchise, MLB The Show. The last time we wrote a review here was 2014, and with sports games being saddled with annual releases, that’s essentially forever ago. I’ve … Continue reading MLB The Show 19: Mini-Review

NBA 2K19: First Impressions, and the Issue of Microtransactions

October 8, 2018December 26, 2018 Chris

I said last year that NBA 2K18 lost a customer with its gross microtransactions nonsense. While voting with your wallet is an overrated concept sometimes, I’d like to think that losing a customer who bought every annual edition for more … Continue reading NBA 2K19: First Impressions, and the Issue of Microtransactions

Wrestlemania 34 Review: Blood, Sweat and Tears — and More Blood

April 9, 2018May 21, 2018 Chris

A night after a phenomenal NXT Takeover (seriously, go watch Gargano/Ciampa and the six-man ladder match if you haven’t already), Wrestlemania 34 was faced with its usual task of trying to provide something for everyone. That’s a tough sell, especially … Continue reading Wrestlemania 34 Review: Blood, Sweat and Tears — and More Blood

NBA 2K18, and How Microtransactions Lost a Customer

September 25, 2017December 17, 2017 Chris

Sports video games have the reputation of being little more than roster updates and a couple new features on an annual basis. NBA 2K18 decided to break from this mold in a new and horrifying way — by completely breaking … Continue reading NBA 2K18, and How Microtransactions Lost a Customer

SummerSlam 2017 Review: Beach Balls and Beef Mauls

August 22, 2017September 25, 2017 Chris

One of the problems WWE faces with its “Big 4” events is bloat. Between the pre-show and the main card, events like Wrestlemania and the Royal Rumble turn into six- to seven-hour affairs, which can be a bit overwhelming for … Continue reading SummerSlam 2017 Review: Beach Balls and Beef Mauls

Wrestlemania 33 Review: Great Start, Meh Finish

April 3, 2017May 8, 2017 Chris

I have a few passions that I don’t really get to talk about much because other folks on the podcast don’t share those interests. I’m an avid watcher of Critical Role. I’m a big fan of the fighting game community, … Continue reading Wrestlemania 33 Review: Great Start, Meh Finish

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
