Music to My Ears: Triumph (Final Fantasy XIV)

July 30, 2019November 3, 2019 Team Objection

Another day, another Final Fantasy XIV post. This time we’re looking at the boss theme from Stormblood, which really grew on me as we progressed our way through that expansion. Since the last post, our group completed Heavensward and Stormblood … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Triumph (Final Fantasy XIV)

Music to My Ears: Unite, Descend (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles)

June 26, 2019September 17, 2019 Chris

I’m surprised I’ve never written about this song or this game. I think on a certain level I just assumed it happened a long time ago, back when the site first started. Turns out: nope! So here we go. Unite, … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Unite, Descend (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles)

Music to My Ears: Anti-Aqua (Kingdom Hearts III)

March 15, 2019July 30, 2019 Chris

I suppose this is a bit of a spoiler. But Kingdom Hearts III has been out for two months, and the screenshot (and subsequent art) of some kind of possessed/evil/Nobody version of Aqua leaked forever ago. We’ll get through this … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Anti-Aqua (Kingdom Hearts III)

Music to My Ears: Fallen Angel (Final Fantasy XIV)

January 9, 2019April 5, 2019 Chris

The last post in this series was about Final Fantasy XIV, and so is this one. The difference is that between then and now, I’ve picked up the two expansions to the game (Heavensward and Stormblood) when they were on … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Fallen Angel (Final Fantasy XIV)

Music to My Ears: Serenity (Final Fantasy XIV)

October 23, 2018January 23, 2019 Chris

There’s a ton of quality music in Final Fantasy XIV. I’m a plebeian who’s only ever played the original Realm Reborn and not dipped my toes into Heavensward or Stormblood yet, but I love a ton of tracks from the … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Serenity (Final Fantasy XIV)

Music to My Ears: Menu Theme (Ys VIII)

August 27, 2018November 15, 2018 Chris

You’re not seeing double — I covered a similar but different theme last year. But since I purchased a Nintendo Switch over the weekend (figuring the only chance I have to play games is with a system that’s portable), I’m … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Menu Theme (Ys VIII)

Music to My Ears: Menu Theme (Metroid Prime)

July 25, 2018October 23, 2018 Chris

There’s just something about the squishy noises at the start of this song that get me, you know? Metroid Prime seemed like a huge risk at the time of its release. You want to take a trusted Nintendo franchise and … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Menu Theme (Metroid Prime)

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
