Thoughts on Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions: The First 20 Hours

February 14, 2022February 19, 2022 Michaela

Triangle Strategy (a questionable name for a video game, but what do I know), has a release date set for March, and I’m pretty excited about it. The conflict between the characters and the story as a whole looks really … Continue reading Thoughts on Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions: The First 20 Hours

Music to My Ears: Caelestinum Finale Termini (Genshin Impact)

December 7, 2020 Chris

I haven’t done a post about video game music since June? God, 2020 fucking sucks. That’s the synopsis. That’s the main takeaway. Let’s fix that by talking about the music in Genshin Impact. On the podcast, I made the bold … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Caelestinum Finale Termini (Genshin Impact)

Celebrating the Release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

August 25, 2020February 4, 2022 Chris

In 2004, I had a lot of foolish ideas. I thought sleeping in someone’s living room for an entire summer — with another person doing the same thing, no less! — was a good choice. I wore T-shirts that were … Continue reading Celebrating the Release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

Music to My Ears: Return to Oblivion (Final Fantasy XIV)

June 10, 2020December 7, 2020 Chris

When I’m working and I need to tune out everything around me, music is the go-to source. NieR Automata had several tracks that fit the bill, and this offering from Final Fantasy XIV’s latest patch is quickly becoming another favorite … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Return to Oblivion (Final Fantasy XIV)

Trails of Cold Steel III: Playthrough Complete (Plus Review)

May 7, 2020October 14, 2020 Chris

It only seems appropriate that after seven months of work, we have a bit of a post following up on Trails of Cold Steel III, right? We finally beat the game and completed our blind playthrough. Going through CSIII without … Continue reading Trails of Cold Steel III: Playthrough Complete (Plus Review)

Music to My Ears: One-Way to the Netherworld

March 31, 2020July 7, 2020 Chris

Amidst these uncertain times, one of the few constants in my life right now has been our playthrough of Trails of Cold Steel III. I know how ludicrous that sentence sounds, but bear with me. We started the game back … Continue reading Music to My Ears: One-Way to the Netherworld

Music to My Ears: Spiral of Erebos

January 4, 2020March 31, 2020 Chris

We’re playing through Trails of Cold Steel III over on our YouTube channel right now, and it’s been an interesting experience going through blind for the first time. In the past, I’d played the earlier games in the Trails series … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Spiral of Erebos

First Impressions: Trails of Cold Steel III (Spoiler-Free)

October 31, 2019May 7, 2020 Chris

We’re maybe 10 hours into Trails of Cold Steel III after months (and what felt like years) of waiting for its release in America, and so far the early returns are really good. The most noticeable change is the graphics. … Continue reading First Impressions: Trails of Cold Steel III (Spoiler-Free)

Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child

August 19, 2019December 24, 2019 Chris

Although my time has been limited the last couple weeks, I’ve had the chance to dive into the new Fire Emblem: Three houses recently, and I’m really enjoying some of the systems that the latest offering has put into place. … Continue reading Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child

Music to My Ears: Triumph (Final Fantasy XIV)

July 30, 2019November 3, 2019 Team Objection

Another day, another Final Fantasy XIV post. This time we’re looking at the boss theme from Stormblood, which really grew on me as we progressed our way through that expansion. Since the last post, our group completed Heavensward and Stormblood … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Triumph (Final Fantasy XIV)

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
