November 3, 2022November 8, 2022 Team Objection

We’ve been talking about it for years, but it’s finally time: We’re updating our list of the best games ever made. It’s been 10 years since the first version of this list. That’s pretty hard to believe, but then again, … Continue reading Our Best Games Ever: 2022 Edition

Top 22 Video Games for the Nintendo Switch

January 17, 2022March 17, 2022 Michaela

I didn’t always have a preference for handheld consoles. I grew up playing games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, games that required a home console. Which was fine and good — except that our house … Continue reading Top 22 Video Games for the Nintendo Switch

Does Super Mario Bros. 35 Measure Up to the Success of Tetris 99?

October 14, 2020April 1, 2022 Chris

Nintendo made several announcements as part of the celebration of 35 years of Mario, like a re-release of three beloved games that’s weirdly only available for six months and another nail in the coffin of the Wii U with the … Continue reading Does Super Mario Bros. 35 Measure Up to the Success of Tetris 99?

Celebrating the Release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

August 25, 2020February 4, 2022 Chris

In 2004, I had a lot of foolish ideas. I thought sleeping in someone’s living room for an entire summer — with another person doing the same thing, no less! — was a good choice. I wore T-shirts that were … Continue reading Celebrating the Release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered

August 19, 2019December 24, 2019 Chris

Although my time has been limited the last couple weeks, I’ve had the chance to dive into the new Fire Emblem: Three houses recently, and I’m really enjoying some of the systems that the latest offering has put into place. … Continue reading Fire Emblem: Three Houses: Spare the Rod, Spoil the Child

Music to My Ears: Unite, Descend (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles)

June 26, 2019September 17, 2019 Chris

I’m surprised I’ve never written about this song or this game. I think on a certain level I just assumed it happened a long time ago, back when the site first started. Turns out: nope! So here we go. Unite, … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Unite, Descend (Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles)

Tetris 99, and the Best Way to Reinvent a Classic

May 1, 2019January 4, 2020 Chris

Look, maybe it’s because I’m getting old and out of touch, but the trend of battle royale games is beyond me. As I’ve documented a million times in this space, I’m a co-op game kind of guy, so the thought … Continue reading Tetris 99, and the Best Way to Reinvent a Classic

Mini-Review: Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition

April 5, 2019August 19, 2019 Team Objection

Tales of Vesperia is a game that’s always been near and dear to my heart. I don’t think it’s the best Tales game, nor is it my favorite, but it’s one that I enjoyed quite a bit. Twelve years after … Continue reading Mini-Review: Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition

First Impressions: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Switch)

December 12, 2018February 8, 2019 Chris

I’ve seen a ton of media outlets making puns about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate being a smashing success. We’re better than that, journalists. You don’t have to take the lowest-hanging fruit every time. Still, there’s no denying that SSBU has … Continue reading First Impressions: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Switch)

Nintendo Switch, and the Appeal of Gaming on the Go

November 5, 2018March 8, 2019 Chris

After I got my promotion a few months ago, I decided to splurge and pick up a Nintendo Switch. I had very little experience with the console; other than using Shaun’s to play through all of Super Mario Odyssey, I’d … Continue reading Nintendo Switch, and the Appeal of Gaming on the Go

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
