My Favorite Kingdom Hearts Worlds

March 14, 2022November 3, 2022 Michaela

Kingdom Hearts is something of a unicorn in the video game industry. A crossover between two very unlikely franchises — Disney and Final Fantasy — Kingdom Hearts was a huge success. Despite how much of a risk it was to … Continue reading My Favorite Kingdom Hearts Worlds

Genshin Impact’s Kazuha is the Best

February 7, 2022February 22, 2022 Michaela

Genshin Impact may not be the best game I’ve ever played, but it’s my guilty pleasure and its draws are hard for me to pass up. The beautiful open world and exploration, catchy and memorable melodies, unique character designs, and … Continue reading Genshin Impact’s Kazuha is the Best

Top 22 Video Games for the Nintendo Switch

January 17, 2022March 17, 2022 Michaela

I didn’t always have a preference for handheld consoles. I grew up playing games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, games that required a home console. Which was fine and good — except that our house … Continue reading Top 22 Video Games for the Nintendo Switch

Why Neku is My Favorite JRPG Protagonist

December 28, 2021November 3, 2022 Michaela

The World Ends With You is a carefully-crafted and beautifully written character study in the guise of a video game. Sure, I’ve played other games with character-driven stories that have complex depth and characterization that I adore (Final Fantasy IX’s … Continue reading Why Neku is My Favorite JRPG Protagonist

It only seems appropriate that after seven months of work, we have a bit of a post following up on Trails of Cold Steel III, right? We finally beat the game and completed our blind playthrough. Music to My Ears: One-Way to the Netherworld

March 31, 2020July 7, 2020 Chris

Amidst these uncertain times, one of the few constants in my life right now has been our playthrough of Trails of Cold Steel III. I know how ludicrous that sentence sounds, but bear with me. We started the game back … Continue reading Music to My Ears: One-Way to the Netherworld

We’re maybe 10 hours into Trails of Cold Steel III after months (and what felt like years) of waiting for its release in America, and so far the early returns are really good. The most noticeable change is the graphics. … Continue reading First Impressions: Trails of Cold Steel III (Spoiler-Free)

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
