The Steins;Gate 0 Dub Debuts Today and I’m Excited

April 30, 2018June 11, 2018 Chris

Sometimes I look back on things that I’ve written over the years and I can’t help but grimace a bit. For example, there’s a Skyward Sword review from more than six years ago where I called it the best Zelda … Continue reading The Steins;Gate 0 Dub Debuts Today and I’m Excited

Music to My Ears: Tabi no Tochuu (Spice and Wolf)

January 22, 2018March 5, 2018 Chris

Michaela usually covers the anime stuff around these parts, but I stumbled on a cover of a song that I adored last night. So we’re breaking the rules and covering that in a series that usually focuses on video games … Continue reading Music to My Ears: Tabi no Tochuu (Spice and Wolf)

My Top 5 Favorite Animated Short Films

September 17, 2017 Michaela

Short films are pretty common features that accompany blockbluster animated films (or so it seems when I looked up shorts online and realized just how many there are), and yet I  don’t think I’ve really come to appreciate them until … Continue reading My Top 5 Favorite Animated Short Films

How Recap Episodes Ruin Anime

October 23, 2015January 20, 2018 Michaela

I’ve been noticing the common recurrence of the recap episode inserted halfway through an anime. Essentially retelling the story within a single episode, recap episodes give the illusion of being important, and I used to watch them specifically for that … Continue reading How Recap Episodes Ruin Anime

Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Strength,” Abingdon Boys School

July 31, 2015March 4, 2017 Michaela

My second song from Soul Eater, this is the fourth and final ending called “Strength”. My favorite among the ending themes from the show, the piano is driving and melodic. The ending is admittedly strange to watch seeing as how … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Strength,” Abingdon Boys School

Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Ignite,” Eir Aoi

July 10, 2015March 4, 2017 Michaela

I have yet to finish the second season of Sword Art Online II, but I really enjoy listening to this song and felt I had to talk about it as soon as possible. At first, I didn’t care for “Ignite”. … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Ignite,” Eir Aoi

Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Let Me Hear,” Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

July 3, 2015March 4, 2017 Michaela

“Let Me Hear” is an opening that grew on me as I watched Parasyte. Initially, I liked the driving rhythm of the beginning of the song, but as soon as the auto-tuned screaming voice entered the song I’d skip it. … Continue reading Best Anime Openings/Endings – “Let Me Hear,” Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Objection Network

Objection Network is a pop culture extravaganza with a weekly podcast every Thursday at noon, daily Let's Play videos, and a bevy of blog posts for your enjoyment.

The current crew includes Chris and Shaun, who have been there since the beginning, and Michelle, who joined in 2014. We also have other contributors like Michaela who chip in from time to time.

We cover everything from video games, anime and movies to music, books and idiots in the news. And yes, everybody here loves Phoenix Wright, thank you for asking.

This whole thing was started as At the Buzzer in February 2011, the brainchild of three men desperate for attention. It’s slightly related to an old Flagstaff radio show from 2008, kinda like how Frasier was slightly related to Cheers. In other words, we're all getting old and it's a little depressing.
