Our list of the top 25 animated films of all-time has come to a close, with The Incredibles taking the top spot. Like most of the lists we put together, I’m pleased with the results — we have an eclectic enough group that there’s some nice diversity in the top 25, and not just a list of Disney/Pixar classics.
It’ll be interesting to see how two movies hold up in our rankings: Frozen and Inside Out. Both are recent enough that it’s hard to say exactly how they fit within the pantheon of 80 years of animation. Personally, I think both could be a little bit higher. We recoiled a bit from our original list of the best video games ever when something like Skyward Sword made the cut (barely) and 30 months later we wouldn’t dream of including it now. Frozen, rightfully so, gets flak for its overabundance in media, and Inside Out had barely been out for two months when we voted for this. We’ll see how the passage of time affects them.
