“Let Me Hear” is an opening that grew on me as I watched Parasyte. Initially, I liked the driving rhythm of the beginning of the song, but as soon as the auto-tuned screaming voice entered the song I’d skip it. Over time as I got accustomed to the dub-step soundtrack of Parasyte as a whole, I found that I liked the beginning of the intro song too much to avoid listening to it. From there, it was only a matter of time before the rest of the song grew on me. Listening to the song now, I have a greater appreciation for the metal and driving dub-step, contributing to the unique sound of Parasyte. Not to mention that the opening is still enjoyable to watch, even if not much is happening, hinting at the deeper more psychological, character driven aspects of Parasyte that makes it such a strong, entertaining show to watch.
