Some surprising (albeit not unexpected) news from Nintendo today: Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire will finally be getting their long-awaited remakes on the 3DS in a worldwide release in November of this year.
Almost a decade after Fire Red and Leaf Green and a few years after Heart Gold and Soul Silver, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will bring a new take on the Hoenn region. Are those Mega Evolutions on the cover for Groudon and Kyogre? Nothing’s been announced for sure yet, but it certainly seems possible.
Very little information is available at this point besides the official announcement and a brief trailer, which you can see below. Still, this means that every major Pokemon title will be playable on the DS family in some form or another, whether it’s through the GBA slot on the original DS or the newer games on the 3DS. For those who are obsessed with catching them all, that certainly is good news.
Hey! I always love Pokemon posts! I have just recently picked up Pokemon X and have been enjoying every second of it! I really enjoyed this post and am also really impressed with the blog in general. If you have time, I would love to hear what you think of mine! Over at The Disorder (http://thedisorderpodcast.wordpress.com) we try to mix humor with current topics. We also try to do podcasts! There are other subsections for game reviews, drawings, etc. I would really appreciate your opinion on the matter! I’m trying to not make this sound like spam (though I’m sure that’s what every spam comment says! 🙂 ). But I really appreciate this blog and thought I would comment!
