Yeah, you read that right.
In…surprising news, the PC versions of both games will include characters from the respective franchises.
While seemingly crazy at first, the reality is a little more tame, as the content is not story related. Resident Evil 6 players will be able to choose from the Left 4 Dead 2 cast in the Mercenaries mode, while Valve will be bringing to life select enemies from Resident Evil 6.
So, meh. Although it is interesting that two games widely considered by fans to be missteps from their predecessors (some more than others. I’m looking at you, RE 6) teaming up together to deliver content. I’d love some sort of universe cross-over with story related content. I don’t even care what kind of strain it puts on their respective narratives. Leon fending off smokers while Bill covers him from a charging tank sounds like my greatest zombie fan-fiction come true.
And I’m shipping Sherry and Francis. Boom.

I would’ve preferred Left for Typing of the Dead. Co-op survival horror typing game? It’s like Typing class in High School all over again!
Haha, forget high school; I’m not ashamed to admit I’d still play that now 🙂
