Yep, it’s happening. If you listened to this week’s show, you heard the announcement that we had some new toys to play with. All of them are in use here.
This is the first in a series of Let’s Plays where we’ll be going through video games and making them as ridiculous as possible. The first video is kind of doubling as a test, so we went for a tried-and-true game: Left 4 Dead. Shaun and I are taking on the No Mercy campaign with help from Jason Hagerty and Tech Guy, who unfortunately don’t get to talk in this one because I don’t have enough fancy new mics yet. It’s a work in progress.
Anyway, check it out and see what you think. We’re also taking recommendations on what games you guys want to see once we get this going on a regular basis, so if you have any favorites (especially co-op ones) that you’d like to see, let us know in the comments below. Anything from the PS3, 360 and Wii is fair game, as well as all of the classic games you can play on each of those (like through the Virtual Console).
It’s time to fight off the zombie hoards. Game on.
It’s not co-op, but I have to suggest Marvel vs. Capcom 3 because then you could play out the Hulk vs. Phoenix Wright scenario, which would be fantastic. Otherwise, and sorry these don’t really include shooting stuff or each other, Portal 2 (okay, shooting at stuff is included), one of the Little Big Planet games, or Lego Star Wars: The Complete Series. I’m pretty sure I remember playing Lego Star Wars in co-op mode, but I could be wrong.
Hey, non-shooters are great. In fact, L4D is one of the few shooters I actually like. And the good news is that we own all of the titles you suggested, so we’ll see…
Super Smash Brothers or, if you can get PC going, League of Legends. Even though the latter might be a bit slow…
I actually haven’t tested PC yet, but it might be possible. Need to give it a shot. And LoL might start a bit slow, but watching Dave and Shaun struggle on a computer game would probably be comedy all on its own.
